A few (okay, a lot of) years ago, I was an exchange student in Finland. For my final internship in Communication and Multimedia Design, I returned to the Netherlands with four days, zero energy, and a stubborn need to build my presentation slides from scratch.

That's when the SideCharacters were born; shapeless blobs that, somehow, captured exactly how I felt. During my exchange, I realised we were all side characters in each other's stories, yet fully living our own main character adventures.

That idea stuck with me. Years later, I found a way to bring them back on greeting cards, mugs, and stickers.
